The third in the series of the University of Edinburgh International Women’s Day (IWD) Lectures to celebrate International Women’s Day 8 March 2012.

We are delighted to announce that Phillippa Gregory, best selling author and UoE Alumna of the Year in 2009, has agreed to be our speaker for the IWD Lecture on 8 March 2012.

Philippa Gregory takes an amused look at how hard it is for a woman to be famous, get paid, or run the world. The lecture is open to all and free. Doors open at 5.30pm.

The Lecture will be chaired by theatre critic of The Scotsman, Joyce McMillan.

The Lecture is being held in G1, Patersons Land, Holyrood and will begin at 6.00pm on 8 March 2012.
