International Women’s Day Celebration – Benefit for MEWN Swansea ~ 29th March 2012

MEWN Swansea are celebrating International Women’s Day on the 29th March 2012.

The event will be taking place at Marriott Hotel Swansea. Doors open at 6.30pm with the evening starting at 7.00pm.

The evening will include a International buffet meal, table magic and a variety of performances for your entertainment.

The event will raise funds for Black Minority Ethnic (BME) women living in Wales who are fleeing domestic violence.

Often those who ask for our help are not entitled to public funds and are left with no money for essential living costs such as food, water, gas and electric.

Our aim for the evening is to raise as much money as possible to ensure that our safe house is available and accessible for women who have no recourse to public funds.

We would like to invite you and/or your organisation to support this vital cause by attending.

Ticket prices are £25 individually.

If you would like any further information or would like to purchase tickets, please contact Nasima on 01792 467722.

All The Queen’s Ravens Biography

All The Queen’s Ravens draw on influences from country and southern blues, to traditional English and Hispanic folk, delivering a foot-stomping, dress-swirling, mixed bagful of attention-grabbing magic.

Glamorous chanteuses Laura and Charlie harmonise with all the telepathy of long-time best pals, expertly backed up by fingerpicked guitars, melodic mandolin, honey sweet basslines and meaty drums.

Lyrics take a sidelong glance at sex, death, obsession, addiction and good old fashioned romance, with a whimsically macabre humour that is nonetheless underpinned by a hearty joie de vivre.

Think the soundtrack to the best Tarantino film he never made.
